Casa del Mar is fabulous! As seen in the published photos. Even bigger. We had a great time. It is equipped with everything you need. The game room-gym and theater are luxurious! Juan and Catia are charming and have been attentive at all times to our comfort. We recommend both Casa del Mar and Juan and Catia 100%
Sea view cottage
Excellent location in a beautiful city. Parking on site was a real plus. Whirlpool was excellent extra and very relaxing. House was very spacious for 2, would be just as good for party out of 4. Very comfortable bed with a good firm mattress. Very pleasant to sit in the garden and wonderful to be able to eat some of the products grown there. Host did everything possible to make our stay pleasant, especially since my wife suffered a broken kneecap on the first day and so many “special needs”

Everything was perfect! The house is large, well equipped and very clean, and hosts are very nice, friendly and helpful. We had a great stay there, enjoyed great views and everything this house offers. Cátia and Juan maintain the house and the garden (with their own vegetables!) tastefully furnished and surprised us with whirlpool! If we came back to Madeira, we would definitely stay there again and would come back to both couples and families!

The location, the view, the house, the garden, the wonderful hosts, Cátia and Juan, everything. This is a really unique place, even on Madeira. The house is comfortable, clean, well-equipped. The garden is just beyond words with all the banana and mango trees, the self-service vegetables and fruits, and with the most wonderful view. The location is perfect to discover Madeira, don’t be afraid of the steep streets and stairs, which lead to the house. Cátia and Juan are not just renting their property, they really do make sure, that you feel at home every second of your stay. We don’t want to spoil their acts of kindness, but believe us, they will spoil you.

Nice view of the sea, small gifts of welcome, easy access to the highway (the via rapida) it was very clean, fully equipped kitchen, nice garden. Catia and Juan were very welcoming hosts. They asked us to dine with them and it was a friendly atmosphere, Juan is a wonderful chef he prepared a tasty local dish. Thank you for everything!

We enjoyed the garden with banana trees and fresh vegetables/herbs! The place is quiet, relaxed and offers privacy. Still within a short walk you reach some nice restaurants and the beach. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming. If we would come to Madeira again, we would certainly like to stay here again.

Cátia and Juan are amazing hosts and we truly enjoyed our stay at their home. The place is surrounded by beautiful views of the ocean and nature. The accommodation itself is lovely, clean, spacious and even more beautiful and comfortable in reality than on the pictures. Cátia and Juan took a great care of us with their homemade mandarine liquer, fruit from the garden, wine and their hospitality. Thank you again!

This place is a little paradise, one of the best stays me and my husband ever experienced. Beautiful views of the city, and just few minutes walk to the downtown, garden with fresh vegetable and last but not least caring hosts who will make you feel at home.
