About us

Welcome to Madeira! Somos Catia e Juan – we are Juan and Catia.

We have been welcoming our guests in our holiday homes since 2017 and we have made friends with lots of incredible people along the way. Our goal is to make your experience the best it can be, with lots of hard work that has gone into making our properties have the true sense of ‘home’.

We are married and live with our sons in the peaceful Ponta do Sol. We are always happy to share our knowledge of the island to help you on your travels and make your stay as comfortable as possible! We aim to make you feel as comfortable as possible when staying with us, so while you’re here we ask you to make yourself at home and enjoy the island, as well as all of the features included in our properties.

We love our island with passion, and we’re always looking for people who want to share these experiences too!

More about us

Juan is originally from Venezuela but has lived in Madeira for a very long time as he has lots of family here, which is why you will find that he speaks Spanish. We also both speak Portuguese and English. We try to be as versatile as possible when it comes to language, to try and ensure that there are no barriers between us.

Catia runs a flower shop in Canhas called ‘Encanto das flores’ where she creates some spectacular floral arrangements for her customers, so you can always ask her more about this if you’d be interested to get to know Catia or maybe even see some of her work!
